Samantha Pirello

"Sam"

Owner & Groomer

Since Samantha was a young child, she has always gravitated towards animals. Working with them in any way possible. Animals have always been a major highlight of her life. Her passion for horses started at the young age of 6. Working in a horse barn for over 14 years gave her structure, responsibility, ambition, strength, and most importantly she learned to love each animal like it is your own.

Samantha attended high school at Pinkerton Academy, taking Animal Science courses all 4 years. The animal science program guided her into the Vet Tech program at Great Bay Community College. About a year into the Vet Tech program, she realized the career field was not going to fulfil her passion for working with animals one on one. This led to pursuing a business in animal grooming.

While completing business courses with Great Bay Community College, she worked for 4 years as a receptionist and bather at an award winning grooming salon. In that 4 year period she learned a great deal and decided to enroll in a professional pet grooming school. Samantha attended The Whole Pet Grooming Academy of Portsmouth, NH. Samantha successfully graduated top of her class as a Certified Professional Pet Groomer.

She keeps up to date on the latest grooming trends, equipment, and products by attending trade shows and seminars. A big part of being a professional groomer is knowing what products can help get the look and feel that clients want. Samantha is a believer that there is always something new to learn in the grooming industry and strives to learn new ways to keep your dog’s happy and healthy.

Sam's Dapper Dog always strives to make the grooming experience as stress-free as possible. Samantha believes it is necessary to have plenty of patience and trust, as well as the ability to read a dogs' body language. Clients have told her that she has a special knack for working with dogs.
